Definition :
Past perfect tense is a kind of tense to describe an action or event that started in the past and finished in the past too
Actually past perfect tense is not too different with past tense.
The different just on auxilary and the verb. In past perfect tense we use the auxiliary 'had' and use verb 3
The formula :
(+) Subject + had + V3 + complement
(-) Subject + had + not + V3 + complement
(?) Had + subject + V3 + complement
The example :
(-) Subject + had + not + V3 + complement
(?) Had + subject + V3 + complement
The example :
(+) I had gone to Bali
(-) I hadn't gone to Bali
(?) had I gone to Bali?
